A bizarre cross between Frankie and Annette's BEACH PARTY films and GREASE, HOT SUMMER is an East German musical from director Joachim Hasler. Former East German pop star Chris Doerk stars as Brit, one of a group of 12 girls who meet a group of 11 guys on a Baltic beach. It isn't long before the two factions are playing pranks on one another and begin socializing. However, when two of the boys, Kai and Wolf, both fall for Brit, it causes rifts to form among the boys and girls.
